The Walton Group of Companies (Walton) is a group of asset management and real estate companies concentrating on the acquisition, planning and management of strategically-located land in North America. Walton is a privately owned group of companies founded in Calgary, Alberta in 1979.

Walton’s vision is to enable investors to participate in investments in pre-development lands in the path of major urban growth. Walton’s current staff has extensive experience with the evaluation, acquisition and disposition of real estate properties, the operation and management of land, land entitlement and rezoning, the marketing of real estate, and real estate administration.

Bill Doherty – Chief Executive Officer, Director Walton Global Investments Ltd.

Bill leads Walton as Chief Executive Officer of Walton Global Investments Ltd., and as an actively-involved director and executive with several Walton affiliates.

Mr. Doherty has been central to the Walton’s strategic direction and expansion since the early 1990s. He launched Walton’s Asian operations, recruiting key people to open Walton offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Malaysia, which grew into key factors in Walton’s growing success in land-based real estate projects. Mr. Doherty returned to North America in the late 1990s to expand Walton’s North American activities, launch Walton’s USA and European operations and open new offices in Scottsdale, Toronto and Hamburg. He is deeply involved in Walton’s growing array of business relationships with leading international investment banks, broker-dealers, financial advisors, and institutional investors.

Mr. Doherty leads the ongoing expansion and diversification of Walton’s land portfolio from its leading role in the Calgary market to significant positions in strategic growth regions around Edmonton, Ottawa, Toronto, Phoenix-Tucson, Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin-San Antonio, Atlanta, and Washington DC. Through the recruitment of experienced development industry leaders and the creation of Walton Development and Management (USA), Inc., he oversees Walton’s deepening involvement in land use planning and development and the launch of major real estate development projects such as Calgary’s award-nominated SkyView Ranch.
