The Walton Group is a group of asset management and real estate companies concentrating on the acquisition, planning and management of strategically located undeveloped land in North America. Walton is a privately owned family company founded in Calgary, Alberta in 1979 by Patrick J. Doherty.  Previous to founding Walton, Mr. Doherty had been in the commercial real estate business since 1959.

Mr. Doherty's vision was to enable investors to participate in institutional-style investments in pre-development lands in the path of major urban growth. The Walton Group's current staff has extensive experience with the evaluation, acquisition and disposition of real estate properties, the operation and management of undeveloped land, land entitlement and rezoning, real estate development, the marketing of real estate, and real estate administration.

The Walton Group manages, has exited or has under contract approximately 58,000 acres of land in North America.* Members of the Walton Group have managed privately offered real estate programs involving North American lands for over 50,000 investors worldwide. The head office for Walton International Group (USA), Inc. is located in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The economic environment as a result of the housing-led recession in the United States has created a tremendous opportunity for the Walton Group. As a buyer in a down market, Walton has a distinct advantage over its leveraged competitors that are being forced to liquidate their good assets at reduced prices. 

Walton is currently in the process of executing an acquisition strategy in Arizona, Texas and Georgia.  Walton intends to be well-positioned along side its individual investors through ownership of strategically located lands in these areas in order to benefit when the economy regains its strength and development resumes. 

Bill Doherty – President and Chief Executive Officer

William K. Doherty is the son of Walton founder Patrick J. Doherty and has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of Walton since November 2002. He is also President and CEO of InterBorder Holdings, Ltd., Partners in Planning Financial Group, Ltd., and Titan Funds Incorporated. He has overseen the tremendous growth at Walton at an international level since 2002. From 1993 to 1998, he was the Vice-President of Asia Operations for Walton, and from 1998 through November 2002, he was Vice President of Walton. Mr. Doherty is a director of the Our Lady Queen of Peace Foundation Inc., a non-profit organization that enables and encourages the development of physically, mentally and/or financially challenged children. Mr. Doherty holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Gonzaga University.
